The Fancy Feast Cat has it figured out, doesn’t she? She gets exactly what she wants, served up in style. She feels utterly worthy. Only the best will do, and the best is delivered to her by someone beaming with pleasure.
Most people feel that they have to earn what comes to them
Those of us who have learned about deliberate creation sometimes feel that we need to describe very carefully to the Universe exactly what we want. The thing is, dictating to the Universe doesn’t work all that well. What does work? Well, interestingly, the Fancy Feast Cat’s method is a pretty good example to follow.
Three things we can learn from the Fancy Feast Cat
- Chill out
- Watch really good things show up
- Lick your chops
1) Chill out
The Fancy Feast Cat is relaxed. Typically she’s asleep, and is awakened by the sound of the can of cat food being opened. This is a great attitude to take toward what we are asking for. Because, remember, we’re not asking the Universe with words. We’re asking with our energy. And we do the “asking” in times of contrast. So we’ve already asked for what we want.
The tripping point is when we try to dictate to the Universe
We trip ourselves up when we use processes such scripting or visualization to “ask” the Universe for what we want. Those processes aren’t intended to ask the Universe for things, because we already asked in the time of contrast. The processes are meant to ease our energy to a place of allowing what we want. Sometimes, instead of easing our energy, those processes end up amplifying the lack of what we want. The Fancy Feast Cat isn’t scripting out what she wants. She isn’t begging or manipulating to try to get the food. She’s snoozing. She’s chilling out.
If you can just nap and take it easy, do that
But if you find you can’t let go and relax, there are processes such as “Going General” and “What’s Going Right” that are great tools for soothing your energy. When the Fancy Feast Cat takes a nap, the cat food can gets opened.
2) Watch really good things show up
The cat food is spooned into fine crystal and served with a sprig of garnish. Think about that. For most domestic cats, their food is plopped into a feeding dish. What’s happening for the Fancy Feast cat is, a daily staple is showing up in an especially nice way.
Think about “a daily staple showing up in an extra nice way”
When you look for evidence of the Universe delivering what you’ve asked for, it will start small. Are you asking for more time? Relax about time and you may notice that you’re getting more green lights. Are you asking for more money? Relax about finances and you’ll find someone buying you lunch. Now, you may say that the price of lunch or a few green lights aren’t in the “really good things” category. Small things like that are the first signs of manifestation. Remember, whatever we focus on gets bigger.
3) Lick your chops
Savor those first small signs of good things showing up. The Fancy Feast Cat licks her chops when she sees the crystal dish of gourmet food, and she licks her chops again after the meal. Think of your first signs of manifestation as being like the Fancy Feast Cat seeing the food being opened and smelling the aroma of the food as it’s spooned into the crystal. When we disparage the first signs of manifestation — when we’re dismissive of the green lights or the free lunch — we block anything more from coming. But if instead you take delight in small things starting to go your way — if you savor and appreciate those signs — then, like anything else we focus on, it will increase.
Summarizing the wisdom of the Fancy Feast Cat
To summarize, the secret of the Fancy Feast Cat has three steps. Chill out and be relaxed. There are really good Abraham processes to help you do just that. Then, as you feel more ease about about what you want, really good things are going to start showing up in small ways. Think of the equivalent of the cat’s food being served in a crystal dish. A small but significant improvement in the everyday. When those good things start to appear, savor them. Lick your chops. Then sit back and watch as even more good things start to show up.
