My mastermind call was looming.
After being out of sorts all day, I finally sat myself down to do a process. The reason I did that process was because I did not want to have my Mastermind Call while in my “out of sorts” energy. So, with nineteen minutes to spare, I opened up my process template and very quickly moved my energy.
I sat down at 5:11 to begin processing for a 5:30 call. I do not recommend cutting it so close. 🙂
But something is better than nothing. Addressing my energy nineteen minutes before the call was better than not doing anything about my energy.
Today’s topic is about making yourself do a process by finding a reason to line up your energy. The subtopic is having a time-related reason to do the process.
The way to do it is, look for situations in your life to use as ‘reasons’ to clean up your energy. Think about upcoming times when you’ll be interacting with others, and do a process before you step into that situation. For example, do a process before you:
- Drive somewhere during rush hour. Process to have a smoother point of attraction when you cocreate with other drivers on the road.
Â
- Make a phone call. My mastermind call is one example. You might line up before a conference call at work. Or before picking up the phone to make an obligatory phone call to a prickly family member.
Â
- Go shopping. Line up your energy and see what your experience looks like with parking, finding the items you’re looking for at the price you want to pay, being helped by the staff, and when you go to the checkout line.
Â
- Go out to eat. Notice the difference in how you’re welcomed at the restaurant, the people sitting around you, the service you receive, even the food itself.
If you’re not yet doing processes to align your energy, just start noticing what your interactions are like now. That will give you a basis for comparison when you do start to line yourself up later.
When you feel ready and find a reason to line up your energy, then sit down to do a process on it.
