My bird, a small parrot, was in pain.
She was old, couldn’t fly anymore, and often didn’t have a good grip with her feet. She had injured herself in a fall and couldn’t even walk well.
As I saw her painfully try to climb up her cage (and fall down to re-injure herself), I was aching.
It took me several hours to get my footing about this. Here’s how I did it
I realized that I was feeling bad — feeling pain — when there was absolutely nothing wrong with me.
Next I remembered that I don’t believe in that! I didn’t fall. I wasn’t injured. I don’t believe in feeling bad for someone else’s misfortune.
Feeling bad doesn’t help the “unfortunate” one and it definitely hurts me because I am always attracting. And the fact that I’m feeling so bad gives me a good indication of how I’m attracting.
Not to mention, I had no alignment to offer my pet.
So I found ways to feel better
Reminded myself that Blackie was a feisty little bird. Feisty ones don’t enjoy limitations. She was probably happier climbing and falling, than not climbing at all.
She was going to try to climb and do what she could, because that’s what feisty ones do. Blackie was just going to do what she does.
And with those thoughts, my energy settled considerably.
As I began to feel better, Blackie started to feel better too. She didn’t recover but her last days were much more peaceful. She was comfortably snuggled in my arms, and I was comfortable knowing the calm energy that I was emanating.
Doing our own work gives us steady footing.
We then vibrationally offer that stability to those we love who may be unsteady.
In a Passion For Law Of Attraction course, we each do our own work every day using the Abraham processes. We find our own steadiness, day in and day out.
You’ll get better at anything that you do every day for a month. What better skill to get fluent at than aligning your energy and emitting that emotional steadiness to those you love, whether parent, child, spouse — or pet.
